Aww...

After 6 months, I feel like the Lord is giving back to me that special time with Him that I SO missed, more than I realized. I am excited to be listening to Piper again...reading good books and desiring God and enjoying Him rather than simply surviving each day. I was empty and now I feel renewed. Thank you Lord Jesus for helping me find you again.

Freedom Is Glorifying God

"1 Corinthians 10:31. "Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." I asked, "Is it sin to disobey this Biblical commandment?" Yes.

So I draw this somber conclusion: It is sin to eat or drink or do anything NOT for the glory of God. In other words, sin is NOT just a list of harmful things (killing, stealing, etc.). Sin is leaving God out of account in the ordinary affairs of your life. Sin is anything you do that you don't do for the glory of God. " ~Piper (of course)

Doing a lot of thinking on this. I want to walk in the freedom of Christ- I don't want to live by lists or the fear of man.

Five

Loved

The sweet girls that came to celebrate little one's life

More Firsts...

Turning 5!

Inopportune timing- the refrigerator died the night before her party. I had stayed up to midnight cutting out heart sandwiches and preparing all of the food. When I woke up in the morning, all of the food was warm and we had to toss it all out. I got back from the Nutcracker Ballet at 1:00 and had a few hours before the party started to make everything all over again-ugh! The frig had been empty for several days, why couldn't it have died then? Why before a party and after we filled it with several hundred dollars worth of food? Crazy thing is, it's working again. I am blessed though- my kids and hubby helped me immensely; I couldn't have done it without them. It's one of those "just life" lessons.

We had a Christmas/Heart themed birthday party

We started the day at the Nutcracker Ballet

Hearts

She was so excited to recieve her "own" teacup- her favorite gift.
Funny thing is, I found it at Ross for $3.00 the day before her party. I had been looking for one with hearts and had not found one until then.
Friends bought her this cozy heart robe
The heart ornament is from me

so is the necklace...gotta love Wal-Mart- 4 bucks!

And the heart slippers and jammies were from another friend.

It touches my heart to see her embraced so lovingly by our friends.

Sparing...the tournament will be on the 12th
